The University of Wyoming is announcing eight new online bachelor’s degrees for students interested in earning their undergraduate credentials via distance learning. Starting in the fall, the school will be offering bachelor’s programs in the following disciplines:
- Organizational Leadership
- Accounting
- General Studies
- Human Resources
- Marketing
- Sociology
- Management
- Criminal Justice
These programs will be available as degree completion programs or stand-alone degrees for recent high school graduates.
Matt Griswold, Vice Provost for online and continuing education at the university, said, “In addition to continuing its strong campus-based undergraduate and graduate programs, UW has a long-standing record of expanding access to education, and the growing availability of online programs is a continuation of that effort. We are excited and ready for new students to learn of these programs, enroll and graduate without requiring them to move or dramatically change their lives.”
UW already offers several high-quality online graduate programs, including master’s degrees in education, business administration, and accounting. The school has plans to continue adding programs to its distance learning offerings.
With tuition costs increasing across the nation, students may be looking for ways that they can earn their degrees while also maintaining part-time or even full-time jobs to make ends meet.
