Cybersecurity is a hot-button issue right now, and the demand for professionals trained in the field is growing. Thanks to a generous $500K donation, Saint Leo University is in a position to respond to this need.
Beginning the first of October, students will have the opportunity to enroll in a new cybersecurity certification program through the university’s College of Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Data Science (CARDS).
The program will be delivered online, and students can complete requirements at their own pace. To earn a certificate, they must complete three courses:
- Getting Started in Security
- Introduction to Cyber Deception
- Security Operations Center Core Skills
Tuition for the entire program is $2,750 but students can pay $1,000 to take an individual course.
Program benefactor and manager of Bellini Capital Arnie Bellini says, “The global cost of cybercrime is a staggering $8 trillion. Nation-states must defend their digital borders with the same urgency as their physical ones. We chose Saint Leo for this mission to significantly increase the number of cybersecurity professionals, given the university’s strong reputation in cybersecurity training.”
U.S. News & World Report has ranked Saint Leo University among the top national universities in the United States. Here at CVO, we’ve included the university among the Top 100 Online Colleges and Universities in the U.S. and the 30 Best Online Colleges in Florida.
