Grad students with a desire to earn a master’s degree online now have new options at Penn State World Campus. This addition aligns with the university’s longstanding goal of making higher education more accessible to adult learners and working professionals.
Students will be able to choose from over two dozen stackable credentials that can be applied to eight of the school’s online master’s degree programs:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Data Analytics
- Engineering Management
- Human Resources and Employment Relations
- Information Science
- Psychology of Leadership
- Software Engineering
- Systems Engineering
By pursuing these credentials one at a time, graduate students can immediately begin applying new skills to their current roles and use their certificates to advance to new positions, all while working towards a master’s degree.

U.S. News & World Report has ranked several of the online master’s degree programs offered through Penn State World Campus in their top 10 subject-specific rankings for online graduate programs.
