Alcorn State University has a new offering for business students—an online STEM MBA program. The interdisciplinary program marries the fields of business and technology and offers concentrations in artificial intelligence, healthcare management, data analytics, and accountancy.

Dean of the School of Business Anton Woods says, “By creating a STEM-focused MBA program, we hope to bridge the gap between business and technology, providing students with the information, skills, and industry connections they need to succeed in STEM-focused careers. This unique program is the result of thoughtful preparation and a keen awareness of the evolving economic and technological landscapes.”

The 30-credit hour program is offered fully online and consists of self-paced coursework. Despite its online format, the program features real-word opportunities such as internships, networking, and hands-on projects.

Graduates of the program are prepared for lucrative roles in STEM fields. According to Fortune, professionals with an MBA who work in the technology sector are almost guaranteed six-figure salaries.

The program is being funded by a $152k HBCU grant.

Alcorn State University was named one of the top regional universities in the South, according to U.S. News & World Report.
