We looked at 367 colleges and universities listed by U.S. News and World Report and the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) College Navigator. We reviewed state universities that offered at least one online bachelor’s degree program. We narrowed our original pool of schools by applying the following criteria: Accreditation from recognized governing agencies, school and/or bachelor degree program rankings with U.S. News and World Report, more than one online degree program, and affordability. We then listed the programs on our list according to raw affordability. All tuition figures are for in-state students. Check with your school of interest to see if it will also grant in-state tuition to online students who are out-of-state.
