In this article, we profile the top 30 most affordable online master’s in information technology programs for 2019.

Computer and information technology occupations are anticipated to grow 13 percent through the year 2026, according to recent information published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. These fields are projected to add 557,100 new jobs. The demand for IT specialists will stem from an industry push and demand from the private and public sector on information security, storage, and cloud computing. To accommodate the expected growth, online master’s in information technology programs are offered from some of the nation’s most reputable institutions.

We profiled the top 30 most affordable master’s in information technology online degree programs. To be considered for our list, the schools must be regionally or nationally accredited and offer at least one online master’s in information technology or closely related degree. We looked at 105 colleges and universities and narrowed our search by choosing programs that had received recognition from a major publication like U.S. News and World Report. We then narrowed our search by ranking the schools in order of affordability with information published by NCES College Navigator.
