The Helms School of Government offers an Associate of Arts in Government that is available on campus only. The program prepares students for careers in government, providing them with a clear understanding of the issues, interest, and institutions of American politics. The program also covers the ongoing struggle between conservatism and liberalism. Students develop an understanding of public policy, the role of civil government and the market. They learn to evaluate the nature and role of government from a biblical worldview and are able to demonstrate basic knowledge of the discipline of government. They are also able to exhibit basic analytical skills as well as the ability to communicate in both oral and written formats. Courses may include Constitutional Government and Free Enterprise, American Government as well as Political Economy and Public Policy.
The Doctor of Ministry in Worship Studies through the Rawlings School of Divinity is available completely online. The program allows students to reevaluate their ministry mindset and the role of worship as it impacts God’s kingdom. Students take an in-depth look at worship theology and leadership while reflecting on the growth and development of their own faith. They are provided practice-focused training that emphasizes real-world ministry problems. Courses required may include The Worship Leader, The Theology of Worship, as well as The Pastor and the Worship Leader.
The School of Aeronautics offers a Bachelor of Science in Aviation that is available online and focuses on the practical aeronautical decision-making skills necessary to become a commercial, military or missionary pilot. Liberty University has the largest flight school in Virginia, providing students with the technical skills they need to succeed in the field of aeronautics. The School of Aeronautics has partnerships with many airlines across the country and has signed hiring agreements with several for Liberty University students who complete their degree. Courses required may include Airplane Aerodynamics, Commercial Flight as well as Aviation Weather, Turbine Engines and Jet Transports
The Bachelor Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Digital Marketing and Advertising offered through the School of Communication helps develop skills in market research, digital marketing, and advertising. The program helps students gain an understanding of the wants and needs of consumers as well as how to attract, convert and retain customers through a digital platform. Courses required may include Marketing Research, Digital Marketing in a Virtual World, Conversion and Optimization, as well as Customer Retention Through Digital Marketing. The program is available on campus, online or in a hybrid version.
The School of Music offers a Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology Master of Arts that is available completely online. The program provides a strong foundation in research, non-Western music theory and how resources are applied in the field. Ethnomusicology is a growing field of study in music education, performance and other areas of cross-cultural service. Students complete two seminars in world music from cultures of their choosing which may include Native American, Indonesian and more. Courses required include Anthropology of Music, Transcription and Analysis of Non-Western Music, and Arts in Global Engagement.
About Liberty University
The Reverend Jerry Falwell founded Lynchburg Baptist College in 1971 while serving as the pastor of the Thomas Road Baptist Church. It was his vision to create a college that would provide moral and ethical decision-making skills with a biblical focus. In 1976, the name of the school changed to Liberty Baptist College and adopted the colors red, white and blue in recognition of the school’s mission to change the course of the United States. The school gained university status in 1984.
More than 130,000 students are enrolled at Liberty University today. The school has been recognized as a National Center of Academic Excellence by the Department of Homeland Security and is a Gold-Level School of Distinction.

Liberty University Admission Requirements
Undergraduate applicants must provide an official high school transcript as well as ACT or SAT scores. Those who have earned college credit must provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. An essay is also required.
Master’s degree applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university while doctorate applicants must hold a master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university. They must provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
Liberty University Tuition and Financial Aid
Full-time undergraduate tuition is $390 per credit hour while part-time tuition is $455 per credit hour. Graduate programs are $565 per credit hour for full time and $615 for part-time. Doctorate programs are $595 per credit hour full time and $650 per credit hour for part-time.
All students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as some financial aid is merit-based rather than need-based. Undergraduate students may be offered grants, scholarships or loans to cover the cost of tuition. Those attending on campus may also be offered work-study programs. Graduate students are offered loans although they may seek grants or scholarships from outside organizations. Those attending on campus may be offered assistantships or fellowships.
